Ontario Rental Housing Vacancy Increases to 2.5%
CMHC's October 2012 rental survey indicates an increase in vacancy rates in Ontario, from 2.2% in 2011 to 2.5% in 2012. The average rent increase was 2.7% from 2011 to 2012, less than the Ontario rent control limit of 3.1% for this year.

Over 2,500 property management staff, volunteers and tenants helped collect the food over a 3-hour period during the food drive. Over thirty companies donated trucks to help pick up food donations from over 2,000 apartment buildings and deliver them to participating food banks.
