Date and Time: Mar 8, 2021 1:00pm to Mar 8, 2021 2:00pm
FRPO is proud to present a special event in honour of International Women’s Day. This session sponsored by Absolute Ventilation will take place on March 8 at 1pm and will feature gender equity champion, Wanda Deschamps. Wanda is the founder and principal of Liberty Co and catalyst behind the #women4women collective focused on gender equality through supporting other women.
The 2021 theme for International Women’s Day is #ChooseToChallenge. We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge.
Our session will explore the impact that the pandemic has had on women and why gender equality matters in our COVID-19 recovery. We’ll examine the ways in which women have been disproportionately affected by such issues as unpaid care responsibilities leading to job losses and a high percentage of women leaving the workforce. We will also share information on the dramatic increase in rates of domestic violence.
Highlighting organizations committed to addressing the gendered impacts of COVID, Wanda will discuss strategies to mitigate and help improve the overall position of women as an outcome of COVID. Learn how your organization can support gender equality in your corporate ecosystem and #ChooseToChallenge.

About Wanda Deschamps:
Wanda’s ultimate goal is to increase the participation level of the Neurodiverse population in the workforce with a special emphasis on autism due to her own diagnosis at midlife. A champion for inclusion, she enjoys writing and speaking under the banner of the Inclusion Revolution – a worldwide movement launched in 2018 to spearhead broader thinking about disability, especially disability employment. Wanda is also the catalyst behind the #women4women collective focused on gender equality through supporting other women.
Combining these two goals provides an avenue for Wanda to be an advocate for women with autism, including as a participant in research into autistic women’s experiences in the workplace. As a means to further help create safer and healthier workplaces, she is the co-founder of the National Day of Conversation about sexual harassment in the charitable sector. In December 2020 The Charity Report included her in their 2020 list of exceptional women.

An Essential Review of Landlord Tenant Law
Managing Multi-residential Properties in a Pandemic
This year’s sessions will be held virtually and will focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on building operations, tenant services and related changes at the Landlord Tenant Board. The industry has faced many challenges over the course of the last 12 months and it is more important than ever that rental housing providers understand their rights and responsibilities. Our presenters will highlight COVID best practices, documenting your tenant files, changes to LTB procedures and more. These educational sessions are ideal for all rental housing professionals including on-site staff, property managers, administrative and leasing teams.
