The Director of Property Management based in Waterloo, Ontario, will lead a team of 8 Property Managers located in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, and plays a key leadership role with the team, delivering an exceptional service-oriented approach to managing over 3500 units. The Director is responsible for overall performance management including the hiring, training, development and management of the team in delivering a tenant-focused service approach, and overseeing external contractors and service providers in the execution of regular maintenance activities and capital projects. A property management professional and leader who respects and values the contributions of all staff; at all levels of the organization is a requirement.
During development work and special projects, the Director takes responsibility for tracking and coordination between leasing, construction and operations to ensure the standards of the building and safety standards are met. The Director will provide guidance and mentorship to managers and staff, including reviewing monthly and quarterly reports, and operating and capital expenditure budgets prepared by individual Property Managers, to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-years of progressive leadership experience in the Property Management industry, multi-residential experience is preferred. Strong budgeting and financial reporting experience as well as experience with Yardi property management software will be considered an asset.
