The Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) welcomes the introduction of new draft electoral financing rules proposed by the Ontario government. FRPO looks forward to participating in the consultations that are anticipated to follow the introduction of the legislation.
“Like many other companies, FRPO has a long-standing policy of supporting the democratic process and consulting elected representatives within existing rules. We will continue to represent our members on issues that negatively impact the rental housing market, including the need to change municipal licensing and unequal taxation, our support for more rental housing families can afford and lower energy rates, and all other issues that deeply affect our membership and the vast number of Ontarians that rent in this province,” said Scott Andison, President and CEO, FRPO.
As the largest association representing professionals who own or manage more than 350,000 homes in every part of Ontario as well as our industry partners, service providers, suppliers and consultants, we will continue to provide our advice, sector expertise, and deep experience towards the goal of improving public policy in Ontario.
The Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) is the province’s leading advocate for quality rental housing. FRPO represents over 2,200 rental housing providers who supply and manage homes for over 350,000 tenant households across Ontario. www.frpo.org
